Every leaf speaks bliss to me, falling
from the autumn tree.         ----Emily Bronte

Saturday, October 8.....

A good day for chicken noodle soup...before leaving the house I put on some backs and feet as well as a chicken to cook while I'm raking leaves...

Mayor Shade's tree has already lost all its leaves----

...the wind has blown them all into my yard..............

See.   There are still leaves hanging on my trees..............

I wanted Ani to picture a pile of leaves
and imagine jumping in them as you did
so long ago but it's had to capture the image
in a photo...

...especially when there's nobody around and
you have to do a selfie.......

Clean yard and bags of leaves for the trash man

Two lonely beets left in the garden, next to the luscious......
...parsley

Waddya think of my brand new lawn mower...cutting the grass takes on new meaning......

Tonight there will be the scent of fresh wind on my pillow.....

  3. I love chicken feet too! They're magical :) but i've never displayed them on a plate like that, haha. Why is it i can break the carcass apart with my bare hands but touching the feet repulses me?! About your leaves...we have the SAME problem with one of our neighbors who never picks up their leaves and probably because they blow straight into our yard, which infuriates poor Austin. But tarps are soooo much faster and easier for leaf pick up! you know, the big, clear plastic ones that you can tie up? It saves a TON of bags and work bagging. But, knowing you AuntA, you like the extra exercise :)
You made me laugh out loud with your leaf pile selfies. My best memories of jumping into leaf piles was on the swing at Berne Road. Good times. LOVE YEWW
