Sunday, September 14....

My turn to do nursery duty, but no big deal.  For the past two years no nursery-size children have been in church during my shift.....what!?!?!  Adam's parents have decided to put him in the nursery?

One-year-old Adam has been staying in the service with Mom and Dad, Stephanie and Tim Lehner, until just recently, I guess.  So I didn't get the day off.   We sat on the floor and played for an hour and fifteen minutes.  He was a doll.

Getting home from church...

A magnificent fall day, too cool to be without a jacket, too warm to wear one, so I tied it around my waist and headed for a walk along country roads......

Grasshopped sunning on macadam.......

Rivers of goldenrod....

Praying mantis...

Stepped off the road and into a muddy ditch!!!!

Soybeans in a field.....

Seven miles, two hours and 611 calories later... it's time for lunch........................................

Yesterday, Nana had made stuffed peppers from the garden with chicken sausage and rice ,and there was a pile of fresh-picked corn in the yard that Larry had delivered yesterday.  611 calories burned?   Time for ice cream with Magic Shell
